It is looking to expand its Transaction Services business in Asia. TS provides a challenging professional environment withinWholesale Banking, in a growing business serving clients in an international environment.
Job Title: Transactions Services Corporate Sales – China Corporate Title: Vice President Reports to: Head of Transaction Services – China Location: Shanghai Job Profile Summary Transaction Services (“TS”) is one the products/ businesses under Wholesale Banking and offers Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance solutions, Payments & Cash Management and Liquidity & pooling solutions to corporate and FI clients across the franchise. This product line has been identified as key to the future growth of the Wholesale banking business. This role is based in Shanghai and responsible for sales and origination for inbound and outbound TS business from corporates. Job Responsibilities: Originate new TS business opportunities for corporate clients in China and Chinese corporate clients globally, as well as grow the existing business. Regular pitching at client meetings including market updates and potential options / solutions. Participation in account planning for sector clients in these markets. Responsible for structuring and pricing of new Trade Finance, Working Capital Solution and deposits. Review of legal documentation – receivables purchase agreements, risk participation agreements, payment service agreements, Trade Finance facilities etc. Maintain active contacts with stakeholders, such as TS product management, TS advisory and structuring teams, Sector teams and Risk Management. Oversee/ conduct transaction due diligence / reviews to ensure information provided is in line with the bank’s understanding. Oversee transactions booked locally, escalating in a timely manner and obtaining approvals for deviations as necessary. Supporting other TS Sales team members across Asia Pacific and around the world. Fulfilling other responsibilities as specified from time to time by the Head of TS, China. Always acting according to policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
What we're looking for: Bachelor’s degree of relevant field. At least 8 years of relevant Transaction banking experience with strong experience across trade finance, Supply Chain Finance Solutions, and cash management, including structuring and documentation. Strong sales & marketing skills and successful track record of selling inbound and outbound transaction banking solutions to corporate clients. Entrepreneurial and the ability to grow a business. Self-directed and self-motivated. Good ability to network and collaborate with colleagues from different geographies. Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin. Thorough understanding of credit risk and deal structuring. Positive working attitude with a smile. Customer-first attitude.
