We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to take care of overall accounting operation
Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager
Department: Finance
Reports to: Finance Director
Job Summary: The Senior Accounting Manager is a key leadership role within our finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations. This position requires a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in accounting and financial management. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, managing the accounting team, and providing critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Review and analyze financial statements to identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
2. Accounting Operations:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor actual results against budget and forecasts, and provide regular updates to the Finance Director.
4. Internal Controls:
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Conduct periodic reviews of internal controls to identify areas of improvement.
5. Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and financial analysts.
Provide performance evaluations and career development guidance to team members.
6. Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all required documentation is provided in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing deadlines.
7. Financial Analysis:
Perform complex financial analysis and provide insights that can be used to drive business decisions.
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by the Finance Director or other members of the executive team.
8. Process Improvement:
Continuously review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Stay current with new accounting software and technologies that can enhance the finance function.
9. Communication:
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, to provide financial information and insights.
Represent the finance department in meetings with external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA certification is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Skills: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Leadership: Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Ethics: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of integrity in all financial dealings.
Work Environment: The Senior Accounting Manager will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
