MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this role will be to provide technical expertise in safety assessments for ingredients, formulas and packaging, and to develop strategies to complete specific projects.
In particular, this position will work closely with internal entities such as the local Regulatory Affairs team to provide safety support on, and enable safety-related compliance with, emerging cosmetics and oral care regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, the drafting of safety modules for regulatory dossier submissions such as Product Safety Reports, interactions with local and regional regulatory authorities, as well as participation in industry efforts. This role will further interact with local Research & Development as well as regional subsidiaries and coordinate new ingredient support within Global Product Safety.

Specific responsibilities are as follows:
Prepare Product Safety Reports for Colgate's Finished Products, including both oral care and pcp under China Cosmetic Law
Support for NCI(new cosmetic ingredient) registration/notification by preparing safety dataConduct safety assessments of new raw materials used in Colgate's formulas including assessment of the scientific literature, evaluation of toxicological databases, determination of the appropriate toxicological endpoints, exposure assessments, and written documentation.
Communication of Product Safety positions to key internal customers, including Product Development and Regulatory Affairs.
Representation of Colgate's key business interests on trade association task forces
Support regulatory for regulation influence by introducing safety approach appropriately
Respond to regulatory inquiries as requested by the legal authorities in the local countries in which Colgate has products in the marketplace.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENT:
Master Degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related discipline required
5-8 years of toxicology experience required
Very strong communication skills in English and Chinese required (both written and verbal)Strong project management skills required
Strong math skills for the preparation of risk assessments required
