About the job Your day to day • As the owner of the privacy for Greater China region, set the GC privacy compliance framework for both corporate and hotel level, define the focus area, maintain the update, tracking the progress, make adjustment based on legislation and enforcement and work with compliance operation colleague for the implementation, • As the privacy subject-matter-expert, provide consultation to different functions in GC, develop training materials, scenario study materials and other supporting tools for employee education and training delivery, • Lead the Privacy Impact Assessment process, identify the risky area, provide guideline/solution and improve the process periodically, • Work closely with global privacy team for both global project implementation in GC and also keep alignment with global for the GC initiatives, • Own all privacy documentation and keep them updated, including privacy statement, Data Processing Agreement and etc; • Work with other functions to provide Privacy support, like APP compliance, AI governance, and etc, • Support the tech projects, including work with tech team to understand the project, advice on the deal structure, identify the risk area, provide analysis/advice accordingly, and deal negotiation with tech partner/tech service provider, from both legal and privacy perspective, • Provide advice/inputs related to information security area from legal and privacy perspective, • Monitor the legislation and enforcement trend within privacy and tech area, provide the update and analysis of the impact to IHG, What We Need From You • With organized and logic thinking when dealing with complex issues, • Excellent communication skills and executive presence that enable effective engagement with senior stakeholders, • Excellent written skills, ability to interpret the scenario & document a summary in a logical way, • Able to handle most matters independently with minimal supervision, • Ability to work in a cross-culture environment and build relationship with various stakeholders, • Ability to make judgement based on facts, risk mitigation and business performance, • Good presentation, project management, facilitation and delivery skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Fluent in English and Chinese. Qualifications • Bachelor of Laws / LLM / J.D. • Admission to the Bar / Law Society in the PRC is a must. Experience • Qualified and admitted lawyer in PRC with at least 10 years post-qualification experience, • PRC law firm experience required with the capability to handle privacy and tech matter, • Experience with hospitality industry, online travelling agency will also be a plus
