Job Description

The client is a MNC retail company

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and forecasts for China operations, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with business leaders to prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning, to identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization.
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing timely and insightful variance analysis to senior management.
Commercial Finance
Partner with commercial teams to provide financial support and guidance on pricing strategies, new business opportunities, and contract negotiations.
Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer profitability to drive revenue growth and margin improvement.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track commercial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Support the development of business cases for new initiatives and investments, ensuring alignment with overall financial strategy.
 Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities.
Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between the China finance team and other global finance functions.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal audit standards.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and global stakeholders, highlighting key trends and risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong background in accounting, FP&A, and commercial finance.
Proven experience in leading finance teams and driving strategic initiatives in a multinational environment.
In-depth knowledge of local accounting standards and regulations in China, as well as exposure to global financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) and strong Excel skills.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

Job Requirements
